Seafloor sand — click-animation bake-off

Four candidate click-animations for the seafloor at the bottom of the Surface section, over the real --zone-bg-deep water colour. Each panel auto-loops, and you can click the sand to trigger it. Use the toggle (top-right) for light vs dark. Pick one — the winner gets polished + wired into .surface-section. (The critter here is a minimal procedural placeholder — a real generated crab/shrimp would be a separate gated decision if you choose it.)

Kicked-up sand puff

A burst of grains billows up from the click, arcs, and resettles. Tactile, instantly readable, reuses particle tech.

Candidate B · Ripples

Spreading ripples

Concentric rings ripple outward across the sand surface. Elegant; echoes the hero click-ripple language.

Candidate C · Vortex

Swirling grains vortex

Grains swirl around the click point, spiral outward, then resettle. Subtle, textural.

Candidate D · Critter

Hidden creature darts out

A small creature bursts from the sand and scurries off, kicking up grit. Highest delight; needs an asset to polish.
